With the playoffs drawing closer, the Penguins made some pre-deadline deals to better their future and still remain competitive for this year's playoff run. Looking to sneak in the playoffs in the second wild care spot, the Penguins are in a fight with GM Perry Way's childhood favorite the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Pens currently sit 2 points up, with both team having 12 games remaining. Regardless of the outcome of this stretch run and potential playoff run the Penguins look forward to a much improved and potentially exciting season next year with Triston Jarry taking over full-time looking for a potentially deep playoff run in 2022-23.
