The tentative start date for the 2025 draft is July 2^nd at 8am Eastern.

Draft clock times are:

Rounds 1 to 3= 6 hours (BPA if timed out)
Rounds 4 to 7 = 3hours (BPA if timed out)

  During the draft you can select any player from the recent NHL draft or from previous drafts that aren’t the property of another tufhl team.  You can also draft undrafted players that have an NHL contract.  Make sure you check the spelling, sometimes a player seems unowned because our site doesn’t spell the name the same as your search. (Mike vs Micheal)

  The sooner we finish the draft the sooner we can move onto other things.  You can help the process along by sending a list of players you want to Steve or Jake.  If you aren’t following the draft just tell Steve to pick the best available player from the NHL draft.  You can also help things along by cleaning out your roster and sending the list of players you want removed to Randy.  The most important thing you can do is make sure you aren’t picking someone who’s already been selected and logging off for the night.  That grinds the process to a halt.  

Every team gets 1 buyout per season for a player making 2 million or more per year.

Every team gets unlimited buyouts of players making 1,999,999 or less per year.

When the roll call is complete and we are ready to go we will start the draft prior to July 2^nd if possible.  If we do, there will be no clock or penalty for not making a pick.  Just something we can do to speed things up.
