2026 TUFHL Draft

Congrats to Kirk and the Avs on their cup win.  It's about time and let us hope it never happens again. 

The tentative start date for the 2026 draft is Monday June 29th at 8am Eastern.  This is not the official start time so don't panic if you are reading this and the draft has already started.  We're just getting rolling as soon as we can but please be ready by Tuesday June 30th.
 
Draft clock times are:
Rounds 1 to 3= 6 hours (BPA if timed out) *BPA=best player available based on latest NHL draft
Rounds 4 to 7 = 3hours (BPA if timed out)

During the draft you can select any player from the recent NHL draft or  you may draft a "diamond in the rough"(DITR) which is any player 21 years of age or older who is not the property of any TUFHL team. Make sure you check the spelling.  Sometimes a player seems unowned because our site doesn’t spell the name the same as your search. (Mike vs Micheal)

The "Draft" channel in Slack is where you post your selection.  Let's keep the posts simple and direct.  Team selects player x with pick #y.  Example:  Pick #1  Vegas selects Remi Rainville

Once you make your selection in Draft Channel please message the next GM on the list. The clock will start for the next gm once he receives his notification.
 
The sooner we finish the draft the sooner we can move onto other things.  You can help the process along by sending a list of players you want to Steve or Jake.  If you aren’t following the draft, just tell Steve to pick the best available player from the NHL draft.  

You can also help things along by cleaning out your roster and sending the list of players you want removed to Randy.  The most important thing you can do is make sure you aren’t picking someone who’s already been selected and logging off for the night.  That grinds the process to a halt.  
 
Each gm will have a 6 hour window to make their selection if time expires your pick will be BPA
There is only 1 x 6 hour window per pick, meaning if it’s 4hours in to a time slot and you trade the pick the team receiving the pick only has 2 hours to make their pick.   The clock stops between 12pm and 8am easter time.

If you select a player that is already picked, the selection will be void and your selection moves to the end of the round. If your'e unsure ask one the committee to make sure the pick is valid before posting.
The draft can move surprisingly quick so please check in as much as possible until the process is over.  Just because you don't pick for a while doesn't mean someone isn't trying to trade you a pick and holding up the draft with a trade offer.
