Welcome to Oil Country Tim Stützle!

The Oilers Part Ways with Connor McDavid and Bring In Tim Stützle
2/26/2026 • Christopher Cameron

The season did not go as planned for the Edmonton Oilers, and we are in a battle to even get in a Wildcard spot.  GM Cameron made a massive re-tool that shipped out, and recieved, a completely different roster.  We got a bit younger, added some draft picks, bringing our total to 12 Draft Picks for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, and lastly, moved some pieces around in multiple trades to change the face of this franchise.

To do this, we essentially had to send Connor McDavid out in order to get our Young Superstar, Tim Stützle.  Although we had to say goodbye to the Best Hockey Player in the World, we are extremely pleased to welcome Tim Stützle!  The Edmonton Oilers organization, and fanbase, are excited for the future of this franchise going forward with the acquisition of Tim Stützle and would also like to wish Connor the best in his current home of the Colorado Avalanche, where he ended up after Edmonton sent him to Vancouver to get the pieces needed to bring in Stützle.
