1) Evgeny Kuznetsov

There are a lot of things that are given in life and one of them is Kuznetsov is an all world talent . it is just a matter of how much effort he wants to give every night.. Kuzy will be 30 years old on his next birthday and is coming off a 4 year, $31 million contract with the Capitals.. It is just a matter of time before a team steps up and offers him a 9 million dollar contract. There is a possibility of him going back to Russia, but all signs point to him signing with a TUFHL team. Predicted teams Vegas, San Jose and Philly.

2) Mats Zuccarello

He is coming off a two year, $12 million dollar contract and will be demanding a raise. Most likely Zuccarello  will be looking for somewhere in the $8.5 million range a season. As he is hitting the market at a perfect time with very little talent available.. His heart is still in San Jose, but there is a high probability he is going to another team when free agency opens. Predicted teams Calgary, San Jose and Carolina.

3) Evgenii Dadonov

Dadonovl struggled in Florida with 37 points in 80 games and there is talk he could re-sign there if the opportunity arrives. However, the panthers may want to move on. The question will be, does he take a one-year deal until the salary cap rises nand he can put together a bounce back season or sign a longer-term deal to have some security. This is a player to keep an eye on. Predicted teams Tampa, Detroit and New Jersey.

4) Erik Karlsson

Another player to keep an eye on is Karlson. Do not be surprised to see a team pay him 10 million plus on name alone. He has not been the same since his achillies injury but he is still a top pair dee man. Karlsson has the best chance to win paired with a stay at home deeman. The question will be how much does he get. You got to figure his next contract will be over the $7 million mark. Predicted teams San Jose, Buffalo and Pittsburgh.

5) Keith Yandle

Here is a player who nobody expected to hit the open market in Yandle There is a lot of talk that he has lost a step but if paired with the right partner could flourish He put up 51 points in 79 games and really took off once getting top minutes in Vegas. Rumour is He will be looking for 6 million a year.  Predicted teams Vegas, Edm and Islanders.

6) Erik Johnson

Johnson is the best shut down dee man available and will garner a large amount of interest. His days of being a top pair offensive dee man are over but he still has gas in the tank. Nashville got the best out of him as he played big minutes. He is more suited for a support role. His agent is a vulture and will want top dollar.

Predicted teams Nashville, Colorado and Montreal.

7) Carl Soderberg

Despite his age of 35, Carl is still an effective player. This issue is going to be term and money. We know what the salary cap says about players over 35 and their cap hits.  Teams need to be careful about how much they give him. Considering he could go downhill fast, He could go to a team on a one-year deal. Predicted teams San Jose, Minny and Arizona.

8) Brandon Sutter

He has shown to be an effective third-line player with a knack winning faceoffs. While his role may change with a new team, he can provide the sandpaper needed for a playoff calibre team to get over the top. Sutter will have a lot of suitors including his hometown team the Canucks. Predicted teams Canucks, Tampa and Washington.

9) Colin Miller

Any other year and Miller wouldn’t make the top 20, however this years class is very weak and Miller will garner a fair amount of interest. He caqn log big minutes and bring a rough and tough style of game. Something Tampa could have used in the cup finals last year. Predicted teams Dallas, Montreal and Toronto.

10) David Rittich

Rittich is only 28 years old and will catch on as a backup, He will be a very busy man come Sunday night as the league has implemented a cap for games started and backup goalies will be relied on heavily.
