The Mammoth See Their Path

Utah has decided the direction of it's organization going forward
6/5/2026 • Wes Mucyk

Now that we have reached the Stanley Cup finals,  not having games every night, things have slowed down, giving us the opportunity to catch up on some of the news that has happened around the league these past few weeks.

The Utah Mammoth made it public following a league wide email sent to all the GMs around the TUFHL which was essentually stating that the team will be going full scorched earth.
As the 2025-26 trade deadline approached the Mammoth made a GM change bringing in Wes Mucyk to take the reins of the team.  After being on the job for 3 or 4 weeks the organization sent out the email letting everyone know where they stand.
GM Mucyk "so after taking a deep thorough dive into the organization, we have decided that the best route for the Utah Mammoth is to try and take it back down to the studs .  Given previous results, the age of some of our top players, the upside of our young guys and the depth of our prospect pool we have realized we are not close enough to being a contender.   Via Free agency, moving picks or prospects would not fix our needs.  This is not a roster that is a move or two away from being competitive.  Our goal is to win the Stanley Cup.  That is something we are nowhere near at this time.  A fresh start is what we have decided is best."
TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger has since reported that the Mammoth have made 3 trades.  2 of which have been sent to the league managers office.  All  are awaiting the proper time to be submitted, reviewed by the league and given the ok.
