Stars continue to look to the Future

Potential Shooting Stars in the Future
1/27/2022 • Jake Friskney

The Dallas Stars continue to make transactions that look towards to a fruitful future for Texas hockey.

Dallas GM Jake Friskney recently traded forward Eeli Tolvanen to Vegas and Defenseman John Klingberg to New Jersey in two trades that helped to continue to stock the cupboards with picks and youth. The Stars GM had the following statements to say in regards to the two transactions.

"In trading Eeli we were able to acquire a young nhl talent in Sam Steel and solid prospect in Nathan Legare."

"Trading John away was a hard trade for me to make, he is a very talented dman who is has good term and cap value. But getting two second round picks and a top prospect in Ryan Suzuki, was an offer that I could not refuse. We wish Klinger all the best in Jersey, and are very excited to add Ryan to our prospect pool."
