At the start of the year I looked at the Panthers roster and thought " I had a very good year last year " I actually took over a decent team that the former GM did a decent job with . So all I had to do was make it my own by moving players in and out in which I just added more talent . I think the Panthers got 1st overall in the regular season with several players nominated for awards in which I think Ekblad won the Norris . Also had the Cup Champions on the ropes until injuries changed that but I didn't mind losing to the Habs because they were solid all year and went on to win it all . I guess the point I'm trying to get accross is I really wanted to start fresh and make the team completely my own and so I started moving out Players and gathering assets that would kick start my complete rebuild . I have acquired young players on the Big Club such as Berniers , Perfetti , Bouchard among others and prospects on the Farm like Slafkovsky , Kulich , Holloway and others in my Prospect list such as Askarov " Future #1 " , Snuggerud , Lekkermaki and others with high upside that other GM's arn't fimiliar with . I actually moved a couple prospects out to acquire pieces that would still help me remain competitive and I am chasing Montreal and Toronto and Buffalo for a playoff spot . I will keep the pressure on them until I surpass them or Drop back but where I set at the Trade Deadline will determine what I do . If I drop back I have plenty players to move for other assets at the Deadline adding more youth which is exciting for next year . Players such as Duchene " point per game NHL " , Elias Linholm can be resigned next year or I may move Lindholm and keep Bobrovsky and keep RFA Fiala and Ekblad unless you get a offer you can't turn down . Malkin , Zuccerello and others are probably not in the teams long term plans . So to rap things up , the assets attain at the Deadline , a good FA offseason with lots of cap room and the Florida Panthers will be younger and look allot different by the start of next season . These are exciting times for Florida and the Tufhl , Later Guys
