New Nashville GM

My introduction article
9/11/2021 • Patrick Michael

Hello all, as the new GM of Nashville and as required by the rule this is my “Hi my name Patrick and what do I want to be when I grow up” post.  So I have been doing SIM leagues for many years, won the Presidents trophy a few times but could never get past the 2nd round.

Looking over the team there is not a lot to be excited about except for a few young guys.  I have been asked to indicate what I will be doing with the team.  I think that is easy, sell the older players and take back prospects and picks.  I believe a team does need a balance of young/old but always needs that 2 – 3 top end players, especially at forward.

With Filip Forsberg as the best forward, the team has to rely on players like Jeff “I Will Never Retire” Carter to pick up the slack.  I do not think the team has a lot top end prospects to bundle together in a deal but if you see something let me know.

The team does have 2 – 2020 late 1st round prospects and 7 - 2020 2nd round prospects so that looks promising.  I intend to move a little slowly in the first couple of weeks unless an  offer comes in too good to pass.  Only see a couple players I probably would not move and that is Girad,  Demko and maybe Fabbro.  The team has no young forwards currently on the roster so that would be a priority.
