The Tampa Bay Lightning have been a little disappointing so far this season according to Gm Randy Blake "We are not
where we wanted to be in the conference at this point in the season, the boys need to pull up their socks or we will
have to look at making some moves"
The Lightning sit 2nd in the Atlantic division but 5th in the Eastern Conference, they trail the Leafs by 14 points after
playing 40 games and have lost of ground by losing to a few teams close to the bottom of the league.
"Guys like Kucherov, Killorn, Verhaeghe, Point along with a few others who are at the top of scoring list but could be doing much
better need to figure out what's going on and find a way to fix the scoring issue" Says Gm Blake
Coach Jon Cooper said "You can only switch up the lines so much, at some point if they can't figure it out maybe there will be changes
and who knows that could mean changes in my department also.
Gm Blake gave Coach Cooper a vote of confidence "We are not in a position to make a coaching change, Jon is our coach now and he will
be out coach at the end of the season also, Jon is a great coach who brough a cup to Tampa Bay, along with this group so we would hate
to do anything drastic"
The Lightning have the night off tonight but they will be boarding a plane soon to head to Raleigh for their game against the Hurricanes
Tommorrow night, a big match up as the Lighting try to gain some ground on the teams at the top of the conference, this will be their first
meeting this season, the Hurricanes have been a thorn in the Lightnings side the last couple of season.
Tampa Bay Coach has given All Star goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy the last 2 games off with the hopes that he will come up big in the next little
stretch, "Vasi has carried the load for us for most of the season, so to give him a little break to rest and get Scott in a few games was good for
the team as Scott came up big with 2 wins" Says Jon Cooper
