Another loss by one goal...

Last game - Columbus vs Vancouver

This trend of games being won or lost by a 1 goal differential continued against Vancouver.  A back and forth game where timely scoring ultimately ends the result.  Heading late into the third period, the game was tied 5-5; with less than 2 minutes in the game - Tyler Motte picked up the rebound and scored the winner past Thompson.

The last 8 games for the Blue Jackets have been decided by 1 goal.  5 of the last 8 have gone to extra time, 2 decided in overtime and 3 went to a shootout.  Columbus has not been able to get above 500 and continue the up and down trend since the horrible 8 game losing streak back in December.  Defenseman Z. Werenski leads the team in points and plus/minus; perhaps an indicator that his defensive game needs to improve.  

New Jersey is the next opponent for Columbus before they go on a 5 game western road swing; hopefully they can string some wins together.
