Columbus Blue Jackets - Off Season Summary
The biggest off season change for the Columbus Blue Jackets was between the pipes - probably the most important position in sports. Added was goaltender Frederik Andersen. Andersen played for Toronto the last couple of seasons as the number one, playing 65 games for Toronto in the 2022-23 season. Going into the year, it was Akira Schmid who was slotted in as the number one for Columbus, but Toronto came calling for a forward and offered Andersen in return - seemed like a good deal, improve the goaltending position and provide a mentor type player for Schmid.
