Habs suck

  It hasn't been a good start to the season for GM Rainville or the Montreal Canadiens.  The Habs (2-7) are losers of six straight and it has been ugly.  Despite dominating the faceoff circle and having very good possession stats, the team has been unable to muster more than 15 shots in their last three games including a 13 shot disgrace in their most recent loss to the Panthers.  Considering the results of the last two seasons, it was fair to assume this team would not be a serious contender.  But the complete failure of this club to generate any level of offense is a surprise to management and fans alike.  There are a few positives but the problems of last season and the preseason have not been addressed and have now compounded.

  The players are being given a final chance to turn things around over the next few games.  If the Habs don't get the results they want you can expect to see some big changes in player personnel.  Maybe even the complete dismantling of the team.  Can Montreal extenguish this dumpster fire or will it burn them to the ground.  Time will tell.
